Initiated shortly after the 2014-2018 Strategic Plan was adopted, the port’s Sustainable Development and Management Plan (PA2D) was officially launched in 2016. Its goal is to define a sustainable development policy and clear-cut actions in the fields of social equity, economic efficiency, and environmental quality.
The PA2D plan allows identification and implementation of measures promoting energy efficiency, environmental quality and social equity, as well as the optimisation of architectural, archaeological, and landscape heritage.
The PA2D has made it possible to define specific actions in the following sectors:
- the fight against climate change, promotion of industrial ecology, energy saving and sustainable energy use
- urban dynamics, management of water and biodiversity, conservation of natural environments and landscapes
- prevention of natural, technological and health risks
- transport
The PA2D was drawn up collaboratively: in-house working groups were tasked with identifying and monitoring actions in three main categories: environmental, social and economic.
